Wow! I have not updated in a while. That seems to be the beginning of a lot of my posts. Well, I'm back at BJ for my Sophomore year. Yeah Sophomores!!! And yes I'm still a Cinema Major. Things are going pretty well. School is starting to pile up once again. Right now though I am hanging out with two of my friends at the mall. I have a new job; I'm now working at Late Stay. It's basically like watching first graders once they're done with school. It's been great! I already have so many cute stories of things they've said and done.

Vacation!!!

We had an awesome vacation! We had another great visit with my mom's parents and brother.
Here's the short and sweet of what we did on our vacation. We went to an Amish Museum.Which was really cool, because you know how it is when you've gone through an area so many times but hardly ever visit things around you. We also enjoyed something that is probably not on many people's list of fun things to do on vacation. We toured module homes and had a great time. We even saw Santa Clause jogging down the road in Paradise, PA twice! Now how often do you get to see something like that! :) Later we saw the Norman Rockwell Museum. And toured the Gilded Age home known as the Naumckege.After all the museums and houses, we went on an alpine slide and a roller coaster thingy. I forget what they called it, but it was lots of fun and we were told that it was the only slide of it's kind east of the Mississippi! It was awesome!Visiting a Shaker village was one of the last things on the list. Oh yeah and we saw some awesome, swicked(that's Jon's new word) houses. Like the place below where we stayed.

New York was our last stop.We got a tour of the church where Liz will be working and went out to eat with Josh and his two cousins. I love this picture.

Another Great College & Career Activity

Last Friday we had our 2nd activity at Gump's house. We had a great time playing baseball, croquet, and just hanging out. I think one of the funniest things was watching Dan, Ryan, & Gump playing croquet.

I can hardly believe that the year has gone by so fast. I am now officially a Sophomore which I'm very excited about. Even though I'm very happy to be home I really miss all of my friends at school as well. The Lord blessed me with some awesome roommates! I'll really miss the Temple of Distraction. :) My roommate Megan and I are especially close. At the same time it's great to be home and hang out with my friends here, especially my best friend! Throught this past year my parents have been a great encouragement to me. My poor mom heard all about my bad days and she often said "even this shall pass away". My dad also had his own little saying; on every postcard and letter that he sent he'd write "keep on keeping on and keep on looking up". I flew with a friend from Maine early Sunday the 6th. We had an hour layover in Chicago so Dan and I were going to try and see each other really quickly. When I think of airports I think of the Portland airport where you can easily go out of security and easily get back in. Well, it's not quit like that in the O'hare airport! I walked forever! Good thing Dan and I both have cell phones 'cause we would have never found each other. When I went back through security (it was a huge line!) I just made it as our flight was boarding (few)! Then they had to change a couple of tires on the plane so we had to go back out and wait in the terminal for another two hours (oh well). We finally made it back safely to Maine!

My roomate jokes around that I live in the dark ages since I don't (or didn't) have a cell phone.
But I have now emerged from the old(? :) form of communication 'cause I have a cell phone now. Yeah! I'm soooo happy. It's a camera cell phone to. Ya, I get a little carried away with the pictures. I keep on taking random pictures of my friends. :)

Wow, well when you're a college student things don't always work out like you'd like them to. I started this entry shortly before leaving to come back to school and this is the first time I've actually been able to acess my blog and complete the entry. So I will try to update everyone on this very exciting and important event. On January 6, 2007 my best friend Ash became Mrs. Ashley Dawn Decker. Several of the wedding party came down with the flu the week before-including the bride but as of Sat. morning everyone was fine (for the most part). It was a beautiful wedding and praise the Lord the rain held off. Steve and Ashley were so cute together and I wish them all the best. Love ya Ash & Steve! :)

It's finally here! And right now I'm packing my stuff so I can leave at
5 to head off to my grandparents in Pennsylvania!!!Yeah!!! Classes are
over with for a whole week!!! Praise the Lord it worked out that I could
get a ride from Lebanon PA to my grandparents!!! I'm gonna SLEEP, SLEEP,
and SLEEP some more and enjoy the fact that I don't have classes to go
to and very little home work to do. Oh, I'm gonna work on my blog like
crazy too and show everyone some of my friends and my wonderful roomates
(they're my friends too :)). Then it will only be 3 weeks and I'll be
home for Christmas!!! :)

Well, last Saturday I was involved in a senior's cinema project. Each
senior has to make some sort of movie (whether it is a documentary,
drama, comedy, etc.) that runs about 5-15 min., as their final project.
The senior I was helping was making a film about a deacon who wants the
pastor to resign. Come to find out, this production is the largest
senior production in the history of Unusual Films. It was pretty awesome
seeing them set up everything and being able to be a part of it. One of
the main characters was Dr. Panosian. And another one, I found out
later, was in my mom and dad's wedding. I got to fill in as an extra in
the congregation, which consisted of about ten other fellow cinema
majors and like three older people. I think I'd have to say that
climbing up on top of a van in pants and taping black stuff onto windows
so that the light wouldn't get in was like the highlight of my day. We
had the clap board, the big lights, a professional camera, and
everything. It's amazing that you take at least twenty minutes, if not
more, to set up in order to tape thirty seconds of a scene. Oh, and just
to let you all know, today marks the middle of the semester. We are
officially half-way through!!! It won't be long till CHRISTMAS!!!:) See

Hey, this is kinda random, but that's what blogs are for right? :) Anyways, I've been thinking a lot lately about this past summer, and I just wanted to say that it was great! totally awesome!! Oh, false alarm! Well, tonight we had our first fire drill. All the
girls in Nell Sunday were spread out over the lawn in the back of the
dorm. Then as the girls came around to check if all the rooms were there
the sprinklers went off. It was actually a really quick fire drill. It
was kinda fun!

OK, that was odd. Well, I am very excited because it's the weekend!
Yeah, what every college student looks forward too. Me, I like start
counting down till the weekend beginning Monday. Though this weekend I
won't be hanging out much. I will be in my room a lot, or in the general
area studying. Oh, last night one of the girl's in my prayer group' s
mother came and she had brownies and ice cream. It was great! She's was
asking all the girls in the hall if they wanted some and she was giving
them hugs and everything. It was really, no it was WICKED cool! Well, I
guess I'd better get back to studying some more.

Hey, It's been so long since I've posted. Actually I haven't been able to get to my blog for the past three weeks, it's a long story.
Anyways, I have now finished three weeks of school and as my roommate and I discovered the other day we are around 1/5 of the way through. Well, let me update you all (not ya'll :) ) on the past few weeks. The first week was absolutely crazy!!! Student central was having problems and had to be shut down for a day, which means that a lot of us had to delay registering for classes. After all that confusion I had to buy my books, which I still don't have one of them because it hasn't even come in yet, and I got my schedule and everything. Classes began on Wens. the 30th. I was really nervous during the first class. It was my first time being in a big class room (besides driver's ed.) so I ended up writing down really stupid stuff. Oh, because I registered later, I couldn't get in to some of the later classes which means that I have an 8 o'clock class every day except for Fri., and I'm not a morning person.:)
Anyways, this is a picture of my prayer group and the girls on either side of me are my roommates. On the right of me is Virginia, she's a sophomore from Indiana, on my left is Becca, she's a senior from North Carolina, and on my far left is Megan, she's a freshman from Iowa (we sing the Music Man songs every now and then :)). I really couldn't have asked for better roommates. The've been wonderful and we have a lot of fun together. We've come to the conclusion that our room is the Temple of Distraction. So we're kinda like in a monastery. Becca, our APC, is the High priestess and the rest of us are the sisters. I am therefore Sister Becka.
I work ten hours a week in the dining common (of course every little freshman girl starts out in the dining Common :) ). I work at the beverage wall replacing the glass crates, taking all the empty crates back to dish wash, dragging the leverator full of clean glasses (all 324 of them) back to the wall, then when the machines start shutting down my partner and I clean the whole beverage wall and all the salad carts. It can get really confusing, but it's still a pretty good job.
Well, I joined a society with my close friends Melissa, Andrea, and Evie. We all belong to the Tigers. Yeah Tigers! Anyways, we had all decided on joining the same society. So we all went around at society rush and looked at them all. We decided that we would all agree on one before Society Ordination. Well, I had to work right up until the Ordination. I ran there and couldn't find them. Oh, by the way there are 1039 (something like that) freshman. So I finally found them, or rather they found me, good thing too. We had all being seriously considering joining the Ambassadors earlier in the day and they had changed their minds to the Tigers. So that's who I joined and I'm really glad I joined them.
OH, oh, oh, oh, and these are my close friends. There's Andrea,Melissa, Evie, Bill,Evan, and Michael. Oh, and my cinema classes for the most part have the same people in each class and there are about 27 of us. And we're all getting to know each other pretty well. So anyways, keep on praying for me and I will try to update whenever I can. I have it fixed now so that I can post.
Well I really miss everybody and I love you all!!! :)

Well we have been on our trip for several days now. We left on Mon. around 4, yeah it was 3 hours later than we had planned on leaving, but Oh well it gave us a little extra time to spend with Grammy, Great Grandma, & Peej. Yesterday was one of the first days to do a little sight-seeing. While on our way to Cherokee, N.C. , we stopped off in Gatlinburg, Tennessee and decided to spend the day there. We went to a Ripley's Believe it or not, an aquarium, and to a miniature golf place.
I'd have to say my favorite place was the aquarium. Watching all of the amazing and beautiful animals that God has created was truly awesome! And to think that some people think that all happened by chance!

Today we went to a Cherokee museum and a bunch of souvenier shops. We had a great time in the Smoky Mountains, but Oh boy are we ever in the deep south now!

White Water Rafting!!!

Totally Awesome!!! :) I went on a white water rafting trip this past Sat. for the first time and it was great. At first I was a little nervous, but it only took a few minutes to get over that. The trip was so much fun and afterwards they showed us a DVD of our trip. There were about 18 or so other people in our group from New Hope and out of that group I believe only 3 or 4 had ever gone on a rafting trip before. I heard that it might become a yearly activity. That would be Awesome!
